A Beautiful Madness turned into US Bootleg Marceline (Giulia's WWE Women's United States Championship Reign)
[ZERO & Carbon x Moha Co-Production]
But that is simply a different tangent for a different day. Today, I will be going through two title reigns as supposed to one title reign. And with the added premise of it all being focused on one wrestler And that is the "Beautiful Madness" Giulia.
The Former International Ribbon Tag Team Champion, Two-Time Artist Of Stardom Champion, Wonder Of Stardom Champion, Goddesses Of Stardom Champion, World Of Stardom Champion, NJPW STRONG Women's Champion, WWE NXT Women's Champion & Two-Time WWE Women's United States Champion. *ANYWAY* She has a very baffling main roster spell and now, I'm gonna talk about it. Let's roll with it.
The Build To The Shooting Stars
Before I get into the title reigns properly, I first have to mention the context on Giulia's rise to the title even though it is very short in terms of story based progress. Giulia would appear on the main roster a few times as an NXT Wrestler, but the brand she'd be with as an official member was SmackDown.
At the time, SmackDown did seem like a good choice for Giulia to be able to stand out. Especially when RAW had firepower with their well received WWE Women's Intercontinental Title, and SmackDown needed a boost. This brings me to the WWE Women's United States Championship. A title which was introduced in 2024 with the first champion being Chelsea Green.
This title was... very bad in terms of its presentation and structure. It reminded me of how the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles were held in previous years and sometimes even now, I guess. Giulia would set her eyes for the US title when being on the SmackDown brand.
The champion at the time, was Zelina Vega who won it from Chelsea Green. It was kind of funny, Giulia acting a frenemy to Zelina. If these two were a tag team, we would get loads of funny gags. Giulia would have on some occasions which includes pinning her and helping her despite beating her ass afterwards.
Much like Thekla at the beginning of her AEW run, Giulia had a similar look on the main roster with a different structure, but same theme. Establishing people on the roster as threats. And now, the stage is set in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. SAUDI! PROOOOOOOO LEAGUE!!-- Not that Cristiano Ronaldo. And since its Saudi Arabia, make your opinions known.
Giulia's WWE Women's United States Championship Runs:
1st Reign:
- Zelina Vega (c) vs Giulia (7:33)
- 27/06/2025
- World Wrestling Entertainment
- WWE Women's United States Championship Match
- WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1349
- ZERO: ★★★
The SmackDown in Riyadh is known for #DIY vs Andrade & Rey Fenix and headlined by Tiffany Stratton vs Nia Jax in a Last Woman Standing. Zelina Vega vs Giulia would be 2nd on the card, and this match ages quite nicely. They only had 7 and a half minutes to work with and it was a really fun match.
Giulia still had a style built in from Puroresu where she will try and beat you down from the moment the bell rings. Zelina Vega knew that and prepared by counteracting her moves. There was a crazy moment where Giulia nearly slipped when going for the Butterfly Suplex.
After nailing Vega with the Northern Lights Bomb, Giulia became the 3rd person to hold the WWE Women's United States Champion. Making her the 3rd United States Champion. Now that the reign has begun, let's continue.
- Giulia (c) vs Zelina Vega (12:13) - V1

- WWE Women's United States Championship Match
- WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1354
- ZERO: ★★★1/2
The follow up and conclusion to their rivalry, Giulia would defend her WWE Women's United States Championship against Zelina Vega. This time Giulia would be associated with Kiana James who was moved from RAW to SmackDown to be her business partner.
Vega would play more into Giulia's style of wrestling, so this would have more fresher take on the WWE style which did have a layer of more flexible since mid-2022. Giulia would retain the title and this match still remains as the longest match with the belt's lineage and no, I'm not joking.
Anyway, let's continue with this.
- Giulia (c) vs 'Michin' Mia Yim (7:36) - V2
- 05/09/2026
- World Wrestling Entertainment
- WWE Women's United States Championship Match
- WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1359
- ZERO: ★★★1/4
I hate companies who don't try. Giulia vs "Michin" Mia Yim (I call her that) from SmackDown, Sep 5 was really fun to watch, but it never reaches the potential it needed. Michin is someone who can match with Giulia and they had a really fun match. This was bad due to timing again.
The winner of this was Giulia, and the most annoying part was Kiana James on the outside. Like Michin should focus on Giulia even though spiking James on her head was satisfying to see. Seriously, add 6 more minutes and remove Kiana James, they would have been really good.
- Giulia (c) vs Chelsea Green (1:30)
- 07/11/2025
- World Wrestling Entertainment
- WWE Women's United States Championship Match
- WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1368
- ZERO: No Rating
The end of Giulia's first US title reign was against the 1st ever Champion Chelsea Green. And this was 1 minute, 30 seconds and I know context is important. Giulia was on a dominant start with Chelsea Green... Then shenanigans happened between Kiana James and Alba Fyre (now Kay Lee Ray) and Green used that to catch Giulia... with the Most Devastating Move in All Of Sports Entertainment, the Surprise Rollup.
This meant that Chelsea Green became the 4th and first ever 2-Time WWE Women's United States Champion. She was also a double champion because she was AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion alongside then NXT North American Champion Ethan Page. The crazy part is that this could've worked, but it didn't.
Post: Well, that was Giulia's first reign as WWE Women's United States Champion... Talk about dogshit. Given what I talked about, you might be thinking, "What do you mean bro? It's not that bad". You'd be correct since on the surface, it's not bad at all. However! Remember when I said that 1 min, 30 sec loss to Chelsea Green could have worked.
Well, it had one problem that was staring right in their faces. Giulia should have defend the belt more times before losing it like that. I know what you're gonna say, "She was a heel. Of course, she isn't--" Oh shut the fuck up. Whenever people bring counterpoint, it's always just dumb. Why all of a sudden, you go back to the 1980s?
Funny part is that WWE demonstrated that you can heel in the company while kicking people's asses like they ain't shit. Another fun fact, Japanese is built on those type of heel archetypes. Like IYO SKY for example, she was heel and she did that. I'll mention something that will summarize both reigns because they have the exact same problem. Let's continue on...
2nd Reign:
- Chelsea Green (c) vs Giulia (7:35)
- 02/01/2026
- World Wrestling Entertainment
- WWE Women's United States Championship Match
- WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1376
- ZERO: ★★★
On the first SmackDown of 2026, Chelsea Green would defend the WWE Women's United States Championship against Giulia. This was longer than than their first meeting, but was still around the 7 - 8 minute mark. It was very bog standard, but something about this just frustrates me every time I think about it.
So the ending feature a lot of interferences. Kiana James and Alba Fyre would be once again, creating chaos. In the event of the distraction, Giulia would use that to her advantage and hit the Northern Lights Bomb to get the victory. I know it is a full circle more or less, but the fact that Giulia needed a distraction to beat Chelsea Green is beyond me.
What made it worse is that Green looked like she was actually gonna beat Giulia if Kiana James hadn't interfered. I'm sorry, but why should that even be the case given how the first match went. (I don't even hate Chelsea, but fucking hell man.)
This meant that Giulia is the 5th holder and the second person to hold this belt twice. Now that the second reign has started, let's continue on...
- Giulia (c) vs Alexa Bliss (7:15) - V1
- 09/01/2026
- World Wrestling Entertainment
- WWE Women's United States Championship Match
- WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1377
- ZERO: ★★★
Honestly, I think it achieved its intended mission. We saw both women do what they could do within 7 minutes of their time. It ended after Kiana James distracted the referee which allowed Lash Legend to push Bliss off the top turnbuckle. Giulia finished off Bliss with the Northern Lights Bomb to retain.
No hate to Alexa, but I think Giulia could've just won this on her own. That's just me. The fact that she was in a position to nearly be beaten if interfered hadn't helped her is crazy work. This one is not that bad since she would've likely moved.
- Giulia (c) vs Tiffany Stratton (8:56)
- 24/04/2026
- World Wrestling Entertainment
- WWE Women's United States Championship Match
- WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1392
- ZERO: ★★★★
Okay... so that happened. 3 Months Later, which is a statement that shouldn't be send. Giulia would defend her WWE Women's United States Championship against the Former WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton. This was a feud that was being built for a little while now.
Given I had to watch this match for this blog, I can proudly say... I am pleasantly surprised. Giulia and Tiffany Stratton clicked very well inside the ring and that opening sequence is what I wanted from Giulia's reigns. Tiffany Stratton was the perfect babyface for Giulia and it allowed the Beautiful Madness was able to be, well... The Beautiful Madness.
Honestly, I always wanted to have a chat with wrestlers. Even if it means there would be security for their safety, I really want to chat with both wrestlers especially Stratton. Since her athleticism and the crowd loving her, I always wondered if she'd ever want to hone her skills in other places for a short time.
I would like this more if Kiana James wasn't here, but it is what it is at this point. More importantly, Giulia was actually being herself and the character we have seen in other promotions since her match with Zelina Vega. There was a moment where Stratton tried the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, only to get caught by Giulia into a Brutalizer (R.I.P. PAC).
Tiffany Stratton managed to hit the Alabama Slam and then followed up with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to get the victory. This meant that Tiffany Stratton is the 6th Women's United States Champion in history. And honestly, this was way better and shows that it can be interesting.
POST: So that was Giulia's 2nd Reign of the WWE Women's United States Champion. I'm not even gonna lie. This was dogshit as well. I'd argued that this is worse than the first. Like Tiffany Stratton had this title for the same amount of days as Giulia's 2nd reign and got defended it more times (even on PPV). Son, I'm crying.
At this point, Giulia has better chance of beating Chelsea Green since she has beaten her before. Like this was the exact opposite of how you should be treating Giulia. Kiana James is the best example of this. I personally think Kiana James is a good talent, but honestly, this was annoying me of having her interfere.
Every time I saw her doing this, it kinda makes Giulia more of a stereotypical heel in America who needs help rather than the wrestler that was NJPW STRONG Women's Champion. It's not even her fault, its more of how wrestling kept doing these especially in that main event for men. Goddamn it, man.
GRAND POST:
Giulia has so far loss her previous two matches. One was a Money In The Bank Qualifying Three Way match and the most recent one was losing to Blake Monroe. Funny enough, this means that they are 1 - 1 in terms of their singles matches. To best way to describe these reigns is quote from @7700saint on X/Twitter.
"One flaw of WWE's current product that I don't see many people talk about as opposed to other things is that so many title reigns nowadays are nothing burgers.
Drew McIntyre, Gunther, Jey Uso, Logan Paul, The Wyatt Sicks, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Stephanie Vaquer, IYO SKY, Shinsuke Nakamura, The Judgement Day (twice), and The New Day all had reigns where they either barely wrestled/showed up or the booking itelf was nasty work.
I remember when people were begging to take the belt off of Tiffany, just for them to put it on Jade and have her hold the belt for 3 months with no defenses and book an atrocious Rhea/Jade build afterwards. Putting the belt on new people won't magically makes these issues go away, the people behind these reigns need a complete overhaul." - @7700saint on X/Twitter on April 9th, 2026
And that this is the end of the blog. I am finally done this shit and can finally breathe so FREE! YAY!! ... Anyway... NEXT TIME! We travel to Monday Night RAW and a reign that I actually thought of doing, but now, I will do it eventually. And that is the reign of the first ever WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion, Lyra Valkyria.
Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
