ROH WJCT Colony No.1 - Part 2: Grudge Crunch
Well folks, it's about that time (it's a stolen phrase from Classic Man D on YouTube). It's time to talk about ROH WJCT Colony No.1 - Part 2: Grudge Crunch. Let's roll with it.
March 12, 2026:
Athena [C] vs Maya World (10:00) → ROH Women's World Championship Proving Ground Match - ★★★3/4
This was a good way to kick off the show. Athena and Maya World are some of the best world and shows it. Honestly, I do like the fact that they hyped it up as a big deal. Especially since Maya World has failed to take down Athena in the previous Proving Ground that these two had. This match will happen every soon and it will probably be as good as this one here. (And that I am making these written works into these blogs, I can tell you right now, it was really fantastic.)
Red Velvet (c) vs Hyan (5:12) → ROH Women's World Television Championship Match - ★★★
This match was strange from a booking standpoint. Or I should say the structure and match time. Given that it was good for what it was, I find it baffling that it is only 5 minutes. Given that matches benefits from being longer bouts than the ones being taped after AEW Dynamite and Collision, I find it weird about this one in particular. Fun match, but more time was needed.
Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) [C] vs QT Marshall, Aaron Solo & Nick Comoroto (10:48) → ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship Match - ★★★1/4
I didn't like the fact that the Proving Ground stipulation was completely ignored. This was past the 10 minutes which meant that Marshall, Solo & Comoroto should have gotten a title opportunity for those Six-Man Tag Team Titles. But again, this comes down to the booking and it was very lazy here. This match really dragged towards the end even though it was start to get good. Poor match structure and very poor piece of booking.
La Faccion Ingobernable (Sammy Guevara & The Beast Mortos) (c) vs The Colons (Eddie Colon & Orlando Colon) (8:49) → ROH World Tag Team Championship Match - ★★★1/2
This was actually loads of fun. The reception for The Colons were more more negative given that they are former WWE Tag Team Champions from the 2010s, but that doesn't mean that they are scrubs because of that. The Colons were really fun at the offence and defense of this match. This also really did a good job in contrast to Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos' current formula for tag team title matches despite the crowd feeling more dead than the vibe I bring to parties. Given the crowd were there for hours, I can't blame them. A really fun title defense and a good way to bounce back from that mess of a Proving Ground.
Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari & Stori Denali) vs Mark Davidson, Parker Li & Angelica Risk (2:30) - N/R (I don't rate bouts under 5 minutes)
Obviously this was for the sake of Stori Denali's development which needs to the priority. This was short, sweet and straight to the point.
Scorpio Sky vs Bryan Keith (9:36) - ★★★1/2
The funny thing is that I was busy during this match and I completely forgot about most of it when I resumed the bout. So that was fun, I guess. This match was really fun as both actually did well especially in the closing stretch. Scorpio Sky won and I do like that SkyFlight are being positioned as the Protectors of ROH much like Bandido.
Lee Moriarty (c) vs Josh Woods (11:18) → ROH Pure Championship Match - ★★★★1/4
A really good match and a really good main event. One of the benefits of Ring Of Honor is that we get these long matches and since Tony Khan loves men's wrestling, this was an absolute treat to watch. I hope they don't do this match again since this is the second time these two have faced off against each other. I do hope that they build up Josh Woods or anyone for that matter to beat Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Title.
Post: This was an easy show to watch. Much like many comfort shows, this was an easy to watch as they are fun matches to watch, setting up future matches for future shows and establishing new things... that will be forgotten months later. So I hope you had a great and I love you guys respectfully and I'll see you next time.
Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
