ROH WJCT Colony No.1 - Part 4: Next Step Index
Well folks, it's about that time. It's time for me to talk about ROH WJCT Colony No.1 - Part 4: Next Step Index. Let's roll with it.
March 19, 2026:
Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs Billie Starkz (7:58) → ROH Women's Pure Championship Match - ★★★1/4
This match was shorter than the last match they had at Final Battle. I am disappointed that it's only about 8 minutes, as it was unique compared to Purrazzo's first title defense against Trish Adora. Or the most unique out of every Pure Rules match that Deonna has had. Like usual, the women make the most of the minutes they had. Purrazzo reaches V2 as she is still the champion and got attacked by MIT with Maya World and Hyan making the save. It seems like Diamante is going to be next up for the ROH Women's Pure Title.
Mark Davis vs Angelica (4:23) - N/R (I don't rate bouts under 5 minutes)
I am surprised by the fact that it was 4 and a half minutes. Given everything that has happened at this point, I was surprised by the time. Angelico is one of the most consistent workers and Mark Davis is always on the best timing in every match he has been in.
Alec Price & Jordan Oliver vs Dark Order (Evil Uno & Alex Reynolds) (10:56) - ★★★★
This match was really surprising to me. Both teams are really reliable for fun, explosive and stylistic TV encounters. This had no right to be good and it was. Alec Price and Jordan Oliver are very mixed to an online perception, but I find them very fun as wrestlers. Dark Order have grown accustomed to being reliable for any story they have in Ring Of Honor. Really good match.
Rachael Ellering vs Robyn Renegade (5:04) - ★★3/4
I could have given this match a three star rating, but the finish was too abrupt that takes the breath away from the action. This has been a troubling theme in some of the ROH TV matches lately and it's not cool at all.
Big Bill vs Logan Cruz (1:47) - N/R (I don't rate bouts under 5 minutes)
Big Bill just destroys Logan Cruz like a bug.
The Infantry (Trish Adora & Christyan XO) vs Dream Girl Ellie & Kelsey Reagan (2:23) - N/R (I don't rate bouts under 5 minutes)
This was the first match that Christyan XO had in Ring Of Honor as part of The Infantry and Shane Taylor Promotions. I was expecting her to be a Stori Denali type of tall woman. It seems like she is going to use her body as suppose to just power. It makes her different compared to Denali. Adora gets the win with the Lariat Tubman. (Fun Fact: The name of the finishing move, Lariat Tubman is based off of Harriet Tubman.)
Isla Dawn & Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) vs Valentina Rossi, Rosario Grillo & The OXP (4:53) - N/R (I don't rate bouts under 5 minutes)
This was quite a fun mixed person tag. Firstly, GYV's theme song is so good, but if they change it, I'm suing them for the Def Rebel Viliation Order and I mean it. The match itself was absolutely fun with GYV and Dawn predictably winning. Dawn attacked Rossi after the match and SkyFlight made the save like usual.
Diamante vs Hyena Hera (2:08) - N/R (I don't rate bouts under 5 minutes)
Diamante won this match and is probably gonna have a Pure Rules match in preparation for her upcoming match with Deonna Purrazzo.
Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Blake Christian & Lee Johnson) vs Supastarz (Jimmy Wid, Nikki Eight & Tommy Mars) (4:55) - N/R (I don't rate bouts under 5 minutes)
The crowd seemed to be like a TNA crowd after being there for so many hours of tapings... Tired. Supastarz try their best to get the crowd hyped up, but there are tired and it is obvious by the vibe in this one. Luckily, I'm used to these crowds and I focused more on the wrestlers than the atmosphere. Lethal Twist won, but I decided to do much. Also Bandido appeared here which is a good thing.
Nick Wayne (c) vs Komander (13:48) → ROH World Television Championship Match - ★★★★1/2
The main event of the show and the actual main event on the first set of TV Tapings was Nick Wayne vs Komander. This was a rematch from almost a year ago when Nick Wayne defeated Komander to win the ROH World TV title. I don't know if it's just me, but Nick Wayne seemed to have bulked up a bit since he returned from his injury. Like look at the picture from when he won the title and a clip from his current work right now. This match was really good and the crowd seemed to be alive for this one (probably because it's the last match before they can go home). And it featured a well told story of Wayne targeting Komander's leg. This was consistently done well and created something compelling. Wayne won with the Prodigy Plex and retained the ROH World TV Title.
Post: This was the most Ring Of Honor way to end the first phase of TV Tapings. We will be back for ROH WJCT Colony No.2 soon and this was the only way to end No.1. And no, I don't mean No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. Hope you had a fun time and I'm out.
Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
