The Badass To My Heart - Maya Yukihi (ft. Mihaawk)
Chop, Chop, Chop
Chop Away At My Heart
I can feel it falling (Timber!)
And now we'll never part--
Oh! Hi! Didn't see you there. As you can see, I am feeling absolutely happy as I have watched so many matches of a particular wrestler. Much like my Tomoka Inaba, I am going to talk about another wrestler who I think is very awesome and honestly made me sing that song in the very beginning of this. Since I don't have any picture, I will have to explain to some things before I show my usual ratings that I have showcased since Inaba focused piece.

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Maya Yukihi and she is probably one of my top 5 favourite badasses of all time after watching a few more matches for her career match catalog. Like if I ever get a chance to meet her in my life and scream like a little fangirl even though I'm dude, I would. She has been wrestling for 11 years with the bulk of her career being spent in ICE RIBBON. I remembering watching her time limit draw against Tsukasa Fujimoto two or three times and it was honestly a great match, but I only watched that. So I decided to dive more into her match archive. And eventually, I will also try to see if I can do Tsukasa Fujimoto after seeing the match catalog on YouTube being a Goldmine for me to dig through.
I have watched different kinds of matches as I researched these matches by myself with an exception on the last match I watched. I watched a lot of them in one sitting and I thought of making something related to this amazing woman. I have four focused blogs which will be my goal for this year: Maya Yukihi (the one I'm doing right now), IYO SKY (for completely different reasons), Haruka Umesaki (which is gonna be like T.Inaba) and Unagi Sayaka (someone who I wanted to cover for years). And since Maya Yukihi is the one that I viewed the most, I figured that I start with her first to tick off the first goal of the big four. There are a lot of descriptions to describe these four specifically from another TV show. But anyway, let's roll with it my friends.

I love this woman so much. I never thought that I would say love this many times. The first three matches from ICE RIBBON are showcasing how crazy she is as a pro wrestler. The strikes, the aggression and being the usual Japanese wrestler who is an antagonistic prick. The Yurika Oka match from Sendai Girls is a more whimsical take on her previous bouts. Which is about as whimsical as you think when talking about the world of Joshi. The tag title bout with Saori Anou was just her and Anou getting their asses whooped by Team 200kg. The Chris Brookes match is the most unique bout as it took place in a bar. And no I am not kidding. If you like ChocoPro, you will definitely like Baka Gajin And Friends. Also I agree with Baliyan Akki that Chris is gonna pay for that chandelier.
The defining factor of why Maya Yukihi is one of my favourite badasses of all time is the atmosphere that she brings to each match that I have seen of her. She has calm and casual demeanor to her which is what makes her offence and defense so jaw dropping to watch. This is why I call her difficultly, Casual Destruction, because she approaches with a mix of intensity and calm essence (and I don't want to say aura) around her. The example of this was at the end of her World Of Stardom Title match against the (then) champion Giulia. The match ended in a double count out after 18 minutes. When the crowd boos and wanted more time, Giulia obviously said no. Instead of reacting with frustration, Yukihi just took it under the chin and even said that the reason why she even faced her was because Giulia wanted her to. That is such a cold move. Unlike Tam Nakano who scared the shit out of me after appearing on the stage like the fucking Grim Reaper.
Overall, Maya Yukihi is very awesome and I hope people will have a laugh at my usual wrestling fuckery with every potential wrestler I might feature in the future on this blog. Hope you have a good mood.
Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
