High Speed Bomb Girl's STRONG Essence (NJPW STRONG Files #2)
When I was discovering STARDOM, seeing many wrestlers online opened my eyes to expand my horizons. Besides notable names like Tam Nakano, Syuri and Giulia, there are two wrestlers that caught my eye in a big way. The first being Starlight Kid, a masked luchadora who I will now refer to as a Kamen Rider. Or... Kamen Rider Kitto I guess.
The second one and the subject of this blog is AZM. Or how Mercedes Mone calls her, A. Z. M. No Mercedes, it's Azumi. It may be spelt AZM, but it is pronounced Azumi. Remember that next time. So yeah, I am going to doing her 141 day reign as NJPW STRONG Women's Champion. I have been looking forward to this one since I started these NJPW STRONG Files, but I just needed to watch a few matches to get this done.
This was the only one roadblock I had to covering this title reign and its this match. Mercedes Moné vs Mina Shirakawa vs AZM at Resurgence. Firstly, that girl in the crowd has thicker vocal cords than a mammoth. She screamed loud from the CEO's entrance throughout the match. I understand she paid her money and has the right, but it doesn't make it less annoying since I was trying to focus on the action.
When I hear people talk about David vs Goliath matches, I better hear this one because look at this. The size difference here is so ridiculous. Bozilla posed an interesting challenge for the High Speed Bomb Girl. This match is available on YouTube, so I highly recommend you'd find this yourself.
AZM had to use the Numero Uno to get win here and beat her Goliath. This brings so much joy to proceedings than the last STRONG title match she had. And it's quite nice to see. As much as foreigner or Gaijin wrestlers are very divisive in the Western side of the Joshi fandom, it is nice to see these types of matches every once in a while.
I have already went through this in my Saya Kamitani blog, because her reign with the STRONG title started here. It doesn't take away from how good this match really is. I haven't seen all of Kamitani's World Of Stardom Title reign especially this year's ones, but this match is the best I've seen of her reign. You'll be surprised to know that I am not the biggest fan of her vs Tam from ASGQ.
This match is also on STARDOM's YouTube Channel so you are spoiled for choice on that front, so I also highly recommend you'd watch. Saya Kamitani would get the win in the end following the Star Crusher and AZM's reign... comes to an end.
This was a ton of fun and I'd like to do that again. I hope you all have a good day and I'll see you next time. Sayonara

So without any further a due, let's roll with it.
AZM's NJPW STRONG Women's Title Reign:
- Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa vs AZM (17:43)
- 09/05/2025
- New Japan Pro-Wrestling
- NJPW STRONG Women's Championship Three Way Match
- NJPW Resurgence 2025
- ZERO: ★★★★1/2

Secondly, this match was really good. A high paced match like this fits AZM perfectly. It would be a great moment as well when it ends with our girl pinning Mina Shirakawa with the Feint Out AZM-Sushi. I won't lie, I find that really lame that Mina got pinned. This was around that the time Moné was beginning her whole belt collector arc, which makes a story of AZM getting her revenge very bittersweet as a result.
Anyway, she won the match and finally won a singles title that isn't based in a specific type of division. So let's continue with this title reign.
- AZM (c) vs Bozilla (15:20) - V1
- 24/07/2025
- World Wonder Ring Stardom
- NJPW STRONG Women's Championship Match
- Stardom Nighter In Korakuen (Jul 24)
- ZERO: ★★★★1/2

POST TIME SPEED!!
It felt nice to finally talk about AZM's reign here. I really like the fact that STARDOM have these kind of titles to use to bridge that gap with the Wonder and World Of Stardom Titles.
This was a ton of fun and I'd like to do that again. I hope you all have a good day and I'll see you next time. Sayonara
Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
