DTC XIV - Triple Thunderbolt #2: The Gladius Orion
I'll be honest, I have been a bit lazy to pick up on STARDOM. Firstly, these three Future Of Stardom Title defenses from Ranna Yagami's American excursion is pissing me off. Given the lack of access is making me mad unless I am searching the wrong sites to find them.
Anyway, so I have decided to continue with featuring Ema Maishima and Kikyo Furusawa as usual. As well as Akira Kurogane in her ongoing trial run. They were all featured in three matches on the final night. Ema Maishima teamed up with Mei Seira in a 4 way tag, Akira Kurogane teams with Rina Yamashita and Itsuki Aoki against H.A.T.E. and Kikyo Furusawa teams with Ranna Yagami against NEW BLOOD Tag Team Champions Sakurara.
Ema's involvement in this was very minimal in comparsion to the rest of the wrestlers in this match. The only other person that has as about as minimal involvement as Ema was surprisingly Fukigen Death. Seira and Maishima did their tag team tedium offense on Konami. She also hit a Sling Blade on Konami, which is fine I guess.
Another surprise happened afterwards with H.A.T.E.'s Bea Priestley returned to STARDOM and attacked Anne Kanaya. The Former World Of Stardom Champion blamed Kanaya for breaking her nose which caused her to miss the tournament. This was a real thing that happened and at To The World, Anne Kanaya will have a PPV singles match against Bea Priestley.
Akira Kurogane would have more involvement in this match than usual. Unfortunately, she routinely kept getting her ass whooped by Tora, Ruaka & Inaba. She got the tag to Aoki, who really did well to fed them off and made me laugh sometimes. They did a triple Superkick attack where Kurogane did it like Mayu Iwatani which will always make me smile.
Unfortunately, Tora would eventually hit the Death Valley Driver on Aoki to get the victory for H.A.T.E.. Tora, Ruaka & Inaba continued their assault on Mi Vida Loca. Tora specifically focused on Kurogane and was about to hit her with a chair right on her head. Luckily, World Of Stardom Champion Suzu Suzuki got out there and saved Kurogane from getting CTE.
Before I continued, I noticed that STARDOM have started to adopt more Western wrestling tropes into their shows. For example, when Tora was about to crack the chair on Akira's skull, Suzu's music hit which is what you'd usually see in episode of a Ring Of Honor, AEW or WWE TV program. It is weird considering that usually there would be no music playing when it came to making saves.
Ranna Yagami is still in really good form following her American where she had defend her Future Of Stardom Title 3 times which makes her tally go up 9 defenses in 166 days. Kikyo Furusawa really had a good performance and has adapted her style throughout. To be frank, Sakurara had really bad luck in using their tag team experience to be beat the makeshift tag team.
Kikyo fooled me into thinking that she was about to apply the Serenity Lock on the Former World Of Stardom Champion, but she just trapped the arm to transition into another Ankle Lock. Honestly, I personally think Kikyo needs to keep doing these Ankle Lock transitions, but also add more submissions to catch her opponents off guard.
The final sequence would be Ranna Yagami and Aya Sakura with instances of Sayaka Kurara and Kikyo Furusawa getting invloved to break up pinfalls or submissions or do team moves. This ended in the same way as the Future Of Stardom Title match on NEW BLOOD 30. Ranna nailed Sakura with the Beat Strike and followed up with the Beat Buster to the three.
Afterwards, Yagami would have a choice of challengers with Matoi Hamabe, Ema Maishima, Anne Kanaya and Akira Kurogane who just had a match earlier. Yagami went straight to Kurogane which does make sense since she beat everybody else beside Anne Kanaya. So that match is made for To The World on Sep 12th. It meant that the next DTC will be focused on the trial period of Akira Kurogane.
This was a fun one and I hope the trend of this series continues as we head into the To The World. And who do you want to see in the series as a Trial Run. Thank you so much for enjoy these shows and I'll see you all next time for Dynamic Thunder Connection. Goodbye.
I have also learned two things: One, Image merging is fun to pick up on and Two, I'm not that good at Image merging. Especially the quality is kind of bad. And the final night of the 5★STAR Grand Prix happen. And there is a lot to talk about that does progress to next two big shows like Sep 6th Korakuen and To The World, but not really something I see groundbreaking.
Congratulations to Rina for winning the 5★STAR Grand Prix and becoming the youngest winner ever. And to Anne Kanaya getting a Pay Per View singles match despite getting her ass whooped by Bea Priestley. For the main focus, this was just meant to be focused on Kikyo Furusawa.
What happened was on Aug 18th, Kikyo Furusawa and Rian challenged Aya Sakura and Sayaka Kurara for the NEW BLOOD Tag Team Titles. You all know that I have a track record of completely putting focus on the title matches. However on the night, it was announced by Taro Okada that Rian wasn't able to compete which rendered that the tag team title match is not happening.
But the tag team match was still going to happen, so Furusawa just needed to find a partner. There was one person willing to participate and it was the Future Of Stardom Champion Ranna Yagami. This was now her Homecoming match from her excursion in the United States.
I am thinking about making a blog on her excursion in America, but I am waiting for those last two title defenses to be uploaded on CCW's YouTube Channel. They were against Izzy Moreno and Remi Reade on back-to-back days. And the DREAM STAR Grand Prix is happening 2 days from now at the time of writing, so I am gonna take longer with that.
With all that being said, let's roll with it.
Final Night Expansion
Ema Maishima starts this with a 4 Way Tag Battle. She teams with Mei Seira against Cosmic Angels' High Speed Champion Yuna Mizumori and Anne Kanaya against H.A.T.E.'s Konami and Fukigen Death against FWC's Koguma and STARS' Matoi Hamabe. I broke my own rules since this was a lot more fun than expected.
The focus was solely on Koguma and Yuna Mizumori which has been playing out within the 5★STAR Grand Prix. This was made clear in the finish as the Bear uses a rollup to pin Mizumori. Later on, STARDOM announced that Yuna Mizumori will defend the High Speed Title against Koguma on September 6th.
ZERO: ★★★1/2 (The time was 4 min 40 sec so it broke the rule.)
Akira Kurogane, however, had more action in her match. She teamed with Rina Yamashita and Itsuki Aoki against H.A.T.E.'s Natsuko Tora, Ruaka and Queen Of JTO Champion Azusa Inaba. The match started unconventional when H.A.T.E. jumped MVL to start the match.
It is weird considering that usually there would be no music playing when it came to making saves.
Anyway, the challenge was made to Suzu Suzuki which I think was accepted. It was announced that Suzu Suzuki will defend the World Of Stardom Championship against Natsuko Tora at To The World on September 12th. I mentioned on my Twitter feed that I don't mind seeing this as long as Suzuki retains. Fun times.

The last match to touch on for this blog's edition was Kikyo Furusawa teaming up with God's Eye's Ranna Yagami in the Future Of Stardom Champion's Homecoming match against the NEW BLOOD Tag Team Champions Sakurara (Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara). I always joke around and list these as Proving Ground like in ROH where you pinned the champion or last the time limit.

This will be an interesting way to keep me intrigued about the product of many things. Focusing on multiple wrestlers in one blog series is not the easiest thing to do especially since one of them is on a trial period that I have to re-value because of my negligence to keep things consistent.
This was a fun one and I hope the trend of this series continues as we head into the To The World. And who do you want to see in the series as a Trial Run. Thank you so much for enjoy these shows and I'll see you all next time for Dynamic Thunder Connection. Goodbye.
Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
