There are few things I like to touch on before we get into this. This is a series that I started writing when I was just writing for SickosClub.com called Dynamic Thunder Connection or DTC for short. This is a series that focuses on two rookies that started their careers last year, Ema Maishima and Kikyo Furusawa. If you read Kikyo Furusawa's part in my Cinderella Swansong blog, you would know that I have done 6 pieces with 4 published and 2 unreleased on these two. This is one of the unreleased ones, especially with the new shift with SickosClub as a brand, I am gonna do the rest of DTC here. This leads me to a question you probably have, do you have to read the previous entries beforehand? The answer is... really no.
Let me explain. Even though there are threads between each one from their first matches which I will dub here as Dynamic Thunder Connection 0 for the sake of this and especially in DTC 1, 2 & 3 where I detailed all of their back-to-back-to-back singles matches on the NEW BLOOD shows, you don't have to read them before you continue this one. If you want to do it, then I will highly appreciate it, but you don't have to do that. Usually I would ramble alongside talking about things that I saw in wrestling, but I wrote this all the way back in November. And since I wasn't really available in an online capacity in December, what I talked about then is completely outdated since it's already March. So I'll just get into the matches instead.
Pre-Show: Momo Kohgo vs Ema Maishima (7:20)
The match starts off with a collar and elbow that transitions to wrist locks. Ema reverses Kohgo's wrist lock into her own to transition into a hammerlock to a side headlock. Kohgo reverses the side headlock into her own, but Ema pushes her off and sends her to the ropes. Kohgo rolled over the drop down, and ran back to the same side. Ema hits the Arm Drag, so Kohgo answers back with an Arm Drag. Both women had the same idea as they launched at each other for a dropkick which didn't come close to connecting. But I appreciate the effort.
Kohgo kicked her in the gut and used the ropes to Irish whip her across. Kohgo did a unique Drop Toe Hold and followed up with dropkick. Kohgo had Ema in the Camel Clutch and was just sitting on her back. Then Momo was just having fun, because she started to just turn to different sides while holding on to the submission. I know I'm not wrestler, but that must've sucked for Ema. Momo went for the bodyslam, but Ema escaped and pushed her to the ropes. Ema ran to the same side as Kohgo arrived to the centre and went for the dropkick and missed. Kohgo ran to the same side again, and connected with a dropkick. When Kohgo ran to the ropes, Ema came flying back with another dropkick,
Ema kept hammering in the strikes until she ran past her to go to the ropes to attack with a dropkick. What makes it actually strange is that Kohgo kept popping back up and Ema kept doing dropkicks. Unlike Mei Seira, she has kneepads. Ema finally slammed her down with a Bodyslam for a nearfall and locked in the Boston Crab. Ema also sat on her back which is the wrestling version of turnabout fair play. Kohgo got to the ropes and got kicked in the gut after Ema failed to do a suplex. Ema went for the dropkick, but Kohgo saw that coming and fired her own dropkick.
As Ema was leaning on the middle rope, Momo ran up to hit a Tiger Feint Kick for a two count. Momo traps Ema in the Double Omaplata which I will call the Peach Squeezer. Ema got her foot on the bottom rope. Momo went for the Backdrop Hold, but Ema reversed it into her snap suplexes. Those were definitely brainbusters as Momo's head went crashing to the mat. Ema went for multiple pin attempts which is kinda smart in theory. When that didn't work, she started firing more strikes. That didn't end well as when she came back for a rope rebound, Kohgo just superkicked her right in the face. After one more nearfall, Kohgo finally hits the Spinning Backdrop Hold or I will call it the Freestone Backdrop (which is in relation to peaches) to get the win.
It seemed like Momo was trying to extend an invitation to Ema to join STARS because she did the STARS symbol. Ema was just like, "Nope" and walked off which in her defense, she did just lose.
Kikyo Furusawa vs World Of Stardom Champion Saya Kamitani (5:34)
This starts lot differently as Furusawa immediately hits a running dropkick on Kamitani in the blue corner. But obviously, that didn't even scratch her at all. Even when Furusawa kept striking her in the corner, it was nothing. It was more justified when Kikyo pulled her back to the centre, Saya just walked there willingly. Furusawa hit two running dropkicks but Saya was just standing there. Saya got bored, so she sidestepped from another dropkick and back heel kicked her in the back.
Saya kept stomping her corner before casually walking back to the centre. Saya invites Furusawa to come get her, but she had already depleted 81% of her energy, so it was pointles. This psychopath (& I don't mean this maliciously) kept doing the usual antagonism and even tried to go for the Boston Crab, but Furusawa quickly grabbed the ropes. Saya just drags her to another corner and then hits a running dropkick. Saya pushed her away from the corner to follow up with a dropkick from the middle rope. Then Saya started doing her antagonism... This really is the juxtaposition. Furusawa kept doing strikes and she was so persistent that she actually got the champion to flinch. Fair play.
That was proven tto be futile as Kamitani slapped her to the mat. When Kamitani had her in the Boston Crab, Furusawa twisted her body to do the Victory Rollup for another nearfall. She followed up with another dropkick for a 1 count and immediately applied the Ankle Lock on Kamitani. Kamitani rolled out of it and kicked her in the gut. Kamitani laid in on slamming Furusawa down with a bodyslam. When Kamitani ran to the ropes, Furusawa pulled out the Hachi Counter (Cartwheel Tierras) on Kamitani to transition into the Ankle Lock. Kamitani was able to reach the ropes. Kamitani clobbered Furusawa with a Spinning Heel Kick to stop her incoming attack. When Kamitani went for the Spin Kick, Furusawa ducked underneath and did the Most Devastating Move in All Of Sports Entertainment, the Surprise Rollup.
Unfortunately that didn't work. Furusawa duxked under another attack and followed up with a big dropkick that sent the World Champion down to the mat. When Furusawa tried to go for another dropkick, Kamitani caughr her with a spin kick for another nearfall. Kamitani had Furusawa in the Boston Crab again, but Furusawa tried to reach for the ropes. Kamitani had enough so she dragged her to the centre and bent her back like the Iron Sheik to force Furusawa to submit. World Of Stardom (and then NJPW STRONG Women's) Champion Saya Kamitani wins and I believe she said that she used 10% of her energy. I smell bullshit, but I'll take her word for it.
Post: I hope you all didn't find this overwhelming since I have been trying to find a mix between talking about wrestler and doing the match breakdowns that I used to brag about like I'm fucking Shakespeare when I was writing for just SickosClub. My vocabulary hasn't been great especially since 2 years ago and I haven't helped myself at all with this. I hope you enjoy this and I hope you it was bearable since it was 2 matches instead of one match.
Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
