Marigold Files #2: DREAM STAR Grand Prix - Prelude 1

Image
There are a lot of tournaments this year much like every year at this point. I'm sorry my friends, but after following the entirety of the Women's Africa Cup Of Nations, I am walking corpse when it comes to tournaments at this moment. It's either gas up or pass out right now and I'm not even joking. Credit: Dream Star Fighting Marigold Especially in the months of June and July, it was madness in the world of sports when it comes to tournaments. I'm delighted and intrigued by the 5★STAR Grand Prix Semifinalists. Ryohei Oiwa is your 36th G1 CLIMAX Winner in which people call of the greatest wrestling matches in the 2020s.  It was described as rewiring the audience's expectation of what a modern day wrestling match should be like. I haven't watched the match yet. I will watch it once the hype dies down, because I think that all of the hype of when it happens can build up for eventual disappointment. Much like with the wrestler, Hina of STARDOM. I don't want...

Lady C, My Beloved: One Year Later

I have completely checked out of the 5★STAR Grand Prix. Not because the tournament is bad or whatever, it's just that there is so much going on in my life right now that I had to shelf something.  I'm honestly glad that I did because I was starting to lose my smile with watching STARDOM. However, I was keeping up with the tournament despite not viewing it. And the given who made it through, pleasant to say I am very surprised, but this is how an unpredictable tournament should be even if it upsets me. There was a match from this 5★STAR that was important for personal reasons. It has more historical valve than anything else. It was Lady C taking on Mei Seira in the tournament which happened on August 14th.  The reason why it's so important is that it was the kick starter for my launch into the Lady-Cification of my blog in the general. It was because the year prior, I was doing articles for a freelance wrestling website called SickosClub which I last checked is now on Auctio...

Marigold Files #1: Did Somebody Say Yoga? (La Vie en Rose's 3D Trios Championship Reign)

I won't lie... I have had a weird time just viewing wrestling for what it is for the past few months since December. I still love wrestling, don't get me wrong, but felt so restrictive and rage inducing in the past 10 months.  Credit: Dream Star Fighting Marigold I would always try to catch up on my shows. Whether that being Ring Of Honor or STARDOM, I always enjoy the show and switch my mind off things snarky, but I felt a bit empty and sad immediately following it.  It doesn't help that I have been behind shows and don't have enough willpower as I used it to drag myself to a lot of wrestling shows.  It was definitely overwhelming my brain as a result to try watching anything so I felt a bit dead inside. Credit: Wrestle Universe That feeling changed when I decided to re-subscribe... to Wrestle Universe. Wrestle Universe is a streaming service for multiple wrestling promotions. It started out as DDT Universe in 2016 from the promotion, Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) and thei...

The Fox Soaring (AR Fox's ROH World Television Championship Reign)

Image
My feeling on Ring Of Honor is about as toxic as Blueface's relationship with Chrisean Rock. However, there is a title reign recently that has been one of the best short reigns in quite a while. And it all involves this dude AR Fox. AR Fox is an interesting anomaly in pro wrestling. He innovates and innovates as he gets older.  It doesn't make sense on the surface, until you actually watch it yourself. This type of innovation is what rejuvenated the ROH World Television Championship. Look, I am very behind on Ring Of Honor. I just got through the first Global Wars show, but I also have the 5★STAR Grand Prix to catch up on. But, I was able to watch this reign in its entirety so I can talk about it. AR Fox's ROH World Television Championship Reign Nick Wayne (c) vs AR Fox (13:00)  09/05/2026 (air date: 14/05/2026) Ring Of Honor  ROH World Television Championship Match ROH On HonorClub #166: Supercard Showdown  ZERO: ★★★★1/2  AR Fox and Nick Wayne have faced each o...

DTC XIII - Triple Thunderbolt #1: Bleak Beginnings

Image
Well... so far, it has been quite an interesting time as I have now 3 people to keep tracking for now. Then again, it's more interesting than seeing a font called NTR on this blog site. I don't know what that means as a font, but since that Sneako and that ex-girlfriend accident, I haven't heard the end of it unless it's good reason. *cough* TNA *cough*  Credit: World Wonder Ring Stardom So today will be more of a Kikyo Furusawa focused episode for this since Akira Kurogane doesn't have any tournament bouts since her first match on the Opening Night. There are 3 tournaments matches Kikyo did in this one while Akira Kurogane did only one. The interesting part of this is the stories that can develop throughout these tournaments make it worth watching. No matter if you are at the top or someone who is at the bottom of the totem pole.  So it seems like both will have more a last place position, since it is their first 5★STAR which makes me worried about Ema Maishima and...
