Ober Eats: Two Personalities Unite

It has been a minute since I have covered professional wrestling. I am still trying my best to keep up with it despite my new job as an Interim. However, my body is a drained mess waiting to give in to death's stabbing. However, this is not the time to elaborate on stupid things. Today is a special day in my eyes as I will be touching on a title reign. This time, it will be focused on a tag team.

We will be taking a trip to Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. This is a promotion that has been receiving a lot of momentum in the most recent months especially with their overseas shows and now I'm doing my first blog about it. The team that I will be focusing on is Ober Eats. This team consists of Yuki Kamifuku and Wakana Uehara. They were Princess Tag Team Champions before losing them to The IInspiration at TJPW Grand Princess.

Also The IInspiration (Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee or Cathy Lee if you are more like TJPW) lost the titles to Hakuchumu (Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi) on the latest TJPW show, so yeah. I already did

Anyway, I will be doing the same as I did with my blog on Sareee's IWGP Women's Championship run. Going through when they won the titles, to their defenses and (the most painful), when they would lose the titles. With that being said, let's roll with it.

All Of Ober Eats (Yuki kamifuku & Wakana Uehara)'s Princess Tag Team Championship Matches

  • Kyoraku Kyomei (Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao) (c) vs Ober Eats (Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara) (17:02)
  • 20/09/2025
  • Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling
  • TJPW Wrestle Princess VI
  • ZERO: ★★★★1/4

Kyoraku Kyomei vs Ober Eats was a good match with more of a underlining layer than their previous encounter from their Las Vegas show months prior. One of, if not, the most notable thing heading in was when Wakana Uehara had a chipped teeth at the hands of Hyper Misao. The beginning of this emphasized that as Wakana took a bite of a burger. Yes that happened. From there, the fight was a good mix of good action and goofy from Misao. It ended with Kamifuku nailing Nakajima with the Top Rope Famouser.

It was a more emotional day for me as I got to see Wakana Uehara lift her first title in her 3 year wrestling career so far.  (Also I should do a blog on Shoko Nakajima at some point.)

  • Ober Eats (Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara) (c) vs Hot Shot (Yuna Manase & Toga) (14:51) - V1
  • 18/10/2025
  • Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling
  • TJPW Additional Attack '25
  • ZERO: ★★★1/2

I actually went into great detail about this fight on an long article I did for SickosClub, and I recommend skimming through a lot to read the bout itself. It's over here if you want to check it out after this blog. Whenever I think about this match, I just have a laugh. Not that the match is bad, because it isn't bad at all. It is just unintentionally funny. The Uehara & Toga were a fun watch, but Manase swings that lariat like a pendulum made me laugh out loud three times. Wakana Uehara would get the victory after using the Sushi Tornado, which is non-submission finisher.

  • Ober Eats (Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara) (c) vs Bumping gRitters (HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki) (16:38) - V2
  • 09/11/2025
  • Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling
  • TJPW All Rise '25
  • ZERO: ★★★★1/4

This title fight had more of a unique take to the previous two bouts. Bumping gRitters had more unique offensive tag team maneuvers that caught Ober Eats on the backend. HIMAWARI was really good here. She was using her hair as a weapon like twirling a lasso. Shino Suzuki is probably the one with more focus than everyone as she did a lot of limb work on Uehara's arm which almost got her team the win.

I probably had my favourite name for an arm submission and it's called the "I'm Gonna Pull Out Your Arm" Armbar or something along the lines. It's the submission finisher of Shino Suzuki as well. Wakana Uehara got the win for the team after using the Sushi Tornado on Shino Suzuki.

  • Ober Eats (Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara) (c) vs Shunrai Rekkai!! Prism Greed (Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro) (14:07) - V3
  • 04/01/2026
  • Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling
  • TJPW Tokyo Joshi Pro '26
  • ZERO: ★★★3/4

Since I mentioned on this blog in the past that I have been watching Kamen Rider, I absolutely geeked the fuck out when I heard the fucking Kamen Rider W (Double) song played. Especially since Kamen Rider W (Double) is the first Kamen Rider show that I am currently watching. The representatives of the ToHo Tokosatsu Club were good here as well. (Also: I really want to do a blog on Haru Kazashiro. It's a selfish reason, but a reason nonetheless.)

Yuki Kamifuku brought a lot more intensity than the previous defenses. Yuki Aino and Haru Kazashiro had answers for Kamifuku and Uehara's offense and counterattacks of their own. Wakana Uehara would get the win after Uehara submitted Kazashiro with the Banana Pillow (Triangle Lancer).

  • Ober Eats (Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara) (c) vs The IInspiration (Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee) (12:14)
  • 29/03/2026
  • Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling
  • TJPW Grand Princess '26
  • ZERO: ★★★★

The last stop on the tour is when Ober Eats enter Ryogoku Sumo Hall as tag team champions and defending them against AEW/ROH's The IInspiration. When I got to work, I immediately pulled out my laptop and watched it. The result is a fight that was better than I expected. Especially from The IInspiration, because of the bouts I have seen, they aren't known as the best workers.

However, this fight fits their personalities and wrestling styles to a tee here. The saddest part is seeing Wakana get pinned by Cassie Lee. I find it heartbreaking, but somehow fitting that Ober Eats' title reign ended at the hands of The IInspiration. And not a team that is known solely for their wrestling abilities. Which leads me to point out how TJPW really put forth the notion of The IInspiration being Former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions and won the titles at WrestleMania 35.

Since I watched WrestleMania 35 all those years ago, I find it interesting yet strange that Tokyo Joshi Pro put a more positive spin on what I would like to call a complicated night for those tag team titles. I remember seeing the consensus both online and myself included that it was a weird change especially with the shows following that Mania. But it was an interesting twist on a more negative

Obviously, I don't mind this because The IInspiration should be acknowledged as Former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, because they are. I also wished that they acknowledged their runs as TNA Knockout World Tag Team Champions as well. If you want me to touch on The IInspiration's Princess Tag Team Championship reign, then let me know.

Post: This is now the 40th blog post on this page. I am almost there at reaching 50th goal mark. I have thought about making a TJPW based blog, but I didn't know what to start with. So I decided to start out with a blog idea I haven't done in a while. I hope you all have a good day and I'll see you all next time. O! O! OBER EATS!!

Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
