Kamen Rider - What has or hasn't been finished?
Okay, so... This is very interesting. And I'm honestly really just bored out of my mind right now. And wrestling wise, it's kind of funny to think about.
I have made a blog about Kamen Rider W (Double) before, but this show is very funny to think about in the grand scheme. Because of Kamen Rider W's story, it really felt like I am watching something that gives me loads of hope. Since it was my first Kamen Rider show, I was starting to learn the structure of the show considering it was the 2nd Phase of Japan's Heisei Era.
Moving over to a Kamen Rider show that takes place in... High School. (Everyone: I beg your pardon?) Yes, you saw that correctly. We travel to Amanogawa High School as I have been watching Gentaro Kisaragi's becoming friends with everybody in high school. I haven't touched it in a while and a major reason is that I don't know where to continue watching.
Kamen Rider Geats... was an experience. After watching this, I am starting to get more tolerate of the death game genre which is nice.
The current ongoing Kamen Rider show is Kamen Rider MY-TH (Pronounced Mice). So far, this show only has 6 episodes into its run, so it hasn't been going on for long. However, it does run into the problem for each episode only being up for 4 weeks. This is two steps forward, four step back.
Kamen Rider Zeztz was last year's installment of the Kamen Rider franchise and the first one to have a simulcast in both Japan and the other popular regions in the world on YouTube. Specifically on the TokuShoutsu channel which I had to use a VPN to watch Kamen Rider Geats on. When this show was happening last year, I decided to wait until it's over so I can binge it.
The first Kamen Rider that has caught my eye was Kamen Rider Zero-One. The reason is simply for its premise alone and the topic of Artificial Intelligence which is crazy considering that this show happened in 2019 before this conservations of AI started.
I won't lie to you, I completely forgot that I was focused on Kamen Rider Den-O at this point. This does that show how greedy I was when it came to this shit when I had the chance. Will I pick up on Den-O one day? I honestly don't even know. The comedic timing was definitely keeping me along, but I'll calm down before trying to get into Den-O again.
Kamen Rider Agito is a series that will no longer be available legally on Oct 31st, and I dropped it because I was being very dumb. I was trying to watch both this and the next one at the same time and the same rate.
The show that I was watching alongside Kamen Rider Agito was Kamen Rider Kabuto. I have so far completed 15 episodes and I have been liking it so far. It is funny that this show happened the year I was born. Much like I said about Agito, there is a lot of tension in the air that thankfully gets cut down by the comedy in this show.
I know that this is definitely cheating, but I am going to watch Episode 5 and Episode 6 today, so I am counting it. I know, its cheating... Much like Manchester City. Anyway, Kamen Rider Kuuga was the first Kamen Rider TV show in 11 years and the first of the Heisei Era of Japan in the 2000.
The last Kamen Rider show on this blog is Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. Ex-Aid is on a re-run alongside Kuuga with two episodes uploaded every Friday. Ex-Aid is definitely the break from the amount of tension I feel for the Kamen Rider shows I have watched so far.
The interesting part about this is that its Kamen Rider. It's been a while since I have touched on Tokusatsu in general, so I thought why not. Last time, I talked about this is when I talked about Kamen Rider Geats and that was like... What? 5 Months Ago?? Man, damn.
It has been 5 months since I made a blog about it and I have watched a lot more shows from the Kamen Rider Franchise since then. It is not much, but there are more shows that are becoming legal to watch... And some I had to use a VPN to continue.
So today, I am going to go through each Kamen Rider show that I have finished watching or haven't finished due to still watching or it's currently an ongoing. To make this list more accurate, I am only counting shows that I have watched past Episode 3 - 5. If I didn't do that, then every single Heisei Era show until Kamen Rider Revice would be on here.
So without further a due, let's roll with it.
Every Kamen Rider I Have finished or Haven't finished or Ongoing
- Kamen Rider W (Double) [2009]: Status - Completed (49/49)
![]() |
Of course, not everything about this show is the best. I still don't like how Wakana Sonozaki turned into a straight up villain and not being a conflicted villain after finding out about Phillip. This show is something that I highly recommend even though you'd be sailing on multiple pirate ships because there is no legal way to watch. Even I don't even know where to watch.
- Kamen Rider Fourze [2011]: Status - Incomplete (36/48)
Moving over to a Kamen Rider show that takes place in... High School. (Everyone: I beg your pardon?) Yes, you saw that correctly. We travel to Amanogawa High School as I have been watching Gentaro Kisaragi's becoming friends with everybody in high school. I haven't touched it in a while and a major reason is that I don't know where to continue watching.
This show is the 40th Anniversary of the franchise and given the Earthquake & Tsunami tragedy that happen in 2011, the youth and hope aspect really shines here. Apologies, if I got that wrong or I'm being disingenuous. I love this show because of... the cringe. This show embraces those personal cringey and I love it.
It is a very strange reason to show love to a show like Fourze, but that is the main reason why I love it. It shows the amount of cringe that we all have in our lives and its fantastic. I love how the characters change gradually by being around Gentaro except for Yuki. I'll be honest, I am still not a fan of Kamen Rider Meteor, aka Ryusei. I tolerate him, I don't like him.
- Kamen Rider Geats [2022]: Status - Completed (49/49)
Kamen Rider Geats... was an experience. After watching this, I am starting to get more tolerate of the death game genre which is nice.
I would like to preface that Kamen Rider Geats has some of the best fights I have seen for a Kamen Rider show. These fights are just that damn good. The massive amount of fights due to the Desire Grand Prix got overwhelming to the point that I took a one week break from Geats to rest my brain.
But when Ace Ukiyo or Kamen Rider Geats (main character) was on the screen, I knew I was going to get fights that are immaculate. However, this show has so many downsides. I am not a fan of the character dynamics and it overall left a bad taste in my mouth by the end of it.
Before I start, I love the character of Neon Kuruma or Kamen Rider Na-Go. She is quite a well written character and honestly, she is my favourite Female Kamen Rider I've seen so far. And her big moment of reaching her best power was fantastic. I have also grown to love Michinaga or Kamen Rider Buffa as well. He was very easy to hate and his fight with Beroba was more emotional than I thought it would be.
Now I have to mention Keiwa Sakurai or Kamen Rider Tycoon. I have grown to not like him as I did like at the start. His character is someone who doesn't take anything past the surface level, and got played like a fiddle and received so much trauma by everyone that he crashed out on everybody. Honestly, this Crashout was completely justified especially after his sister got killed.
But that arc is so cheeks. Like it was that bad and happened way too late into Geats. I'm never rewatching Geats because of this arc. It nearly made me drop the show as a whole. Then there is Ace Ukiyo or Kamen Rider Geats... He is by far my least favourite Kamen Rider protagonist. It took until Ep 24 - 25 (basically halfway in the show) to actually like this dude.
Let's continue this blog, so I don't have to write about Geats any longer.
- Kamen Rider MY-TH [2026]: Status - Ongoing (6/6)
The current ongoing Kamen Rider show is Kamen Rider MY-TH (Pronounced Mice). So far, this show only has 6 episodes into its run, so it hasn't been going on for long. However, it does run into the problem for each episode only being up for 4 weeks. This is two steps forward, four step back.
At this point, I know some of this is completely out of Toei's control, but holy, it's so annoying. So far, I like it. Except that the fact that Tatsuomi Asao or Kamen Rider Rid's friend is exerting all of the Big Brother tropes. He is going to die and you can't change my mind on that.
- Kamen Rider Zeztz [2025]: Status - Completed (50/50)
Kamen Rider Zeztz was last year's installment of the Kamen Rider franchise and the first one to have a simulcast in both Japan and the other popular regions in the world on YouTube. Specifically on the TokuShoutsu channel which I had to use a VPN to watch Kamen Rider Geats on. When this show was happening last year, I decided to wait until it's over so I can binge it.
Because I have heard many mixed opinions on this show. I was lucky to be able to watch the entire show when it was moved to Toei Tokusatsu World Official. And... I loved it. Out of my many Kamen Rider shows I've seen until this point, Zeztz has to be the quickest binge I have ever done. Maybe its because I am getting use to these 45 - 50 episode shows, but I definitely was a fun time.
Baku Yorozu has to be one of my favourite Kamen Rider protagonists. And there was a lot of lovable characters in the show. Except for Number 3, I will never like that man at all. It is also a start for anyone interested in the Kamen Rider series. So I do recommend.
- Kamen Rider Zero-One [2019]: Status - Incomplete (7/45)
The first Kamen Rider that has caught my eye was Kamen Rider Zero-One. The reason is simply for its premise alone and the topic of Artificial Intelligence which is crazy considering that this show happened in 2019 before this conservations of AI started.
Since I had my pirate hat and wasn't used to watching 45 - 50 episode TV shows again like Kamen Rider, I skipped out Zero-One pretty much entirely and stopped at Episode 7. Now that I have walked the plank and started watching one series at a each time, I will watch continue with Zero-One and actually finished it this time.
- Kamen Rider Den-O [2007]: Status - Incomplete (9/49)
I won't lie to you, I completely forgot that I was focused on Kamen Rider Den-O at this point. This does that show how greedy I was when it came to this shit when I had the chance. Will I pick up on Den-O one day? I honestly don't even know. The comedic timing was definitely keeping me along, but I'll calm down before trying to get into Den-O again.
- Kamen Rider Agito [2001]: Status - Incomplete (9/52)
Which led to me juggling a lot of stories and a lot of characters. So I decided to drop Kamen Rider Agito because I think that I'm not ready for that kind of show just yet. And mainly because these 2000s shows in general have so much tension and it's kind of freaking me out.
- Kamen Rider Kabuto [2006]: Status - Incomplete (15/49)
The show that I was watching alongside Kamen Rider Agito was Kamen Rider Kabuto. I have so far completed 15 episodes and I have been liking it so far. It is funny that this show happened the year I was born. Much like I said about Agito, there is a lot of tension in the air that thankfully gets cut down by the comedy in this show.
The best thing about the show is the fights. Since the Worms are basically difficult to beat especially with their Clock Ups (Super Speed), the Kamen Riders in the show have this ability and can match their style. However, when these Clock Up fights are possibly the most funniest fights that I have seen.
It's not that the fight are played out for laughs, because they are not played out for laughs. But something about them, just makes me have a chuckle every time. These unintentionally break the tension I have watching these shows, and it's honestly quite fun.
- Kamen Rider Kuuga [2000]: Status - Re-Run (Ongoing) (4/49)
I know that this is definitely cheating, but I am going to watch Episode 5 and Episode 6 today, so I am counting it. I know, its cheating... Much like Manchester City. Anyway, Kamen Rider Kuuga was the first Kamen Rider TV show in 11 years and the first of the Heisei Era of Japan in the 2000.
Recently, Toei Tokusatsu World Official (YouTube Channel) is airing a re-run of Kuuga and the last show in the blog with two episodes uploaded a week on Thursday & Friday. Thursday is where the two episodes of Kuuga would be uploaded.
So far, only 6 episodes of this show have been uploaded. And it will continue until its done. Now it's time for the last one.
- Kamen Rider Ex-Aid [2016]: Status - Re-Run (Ongoing) (6/45)
The last Kamen Rider show on this blog is Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. Ex-Aid is on a re-run alongside Kuuga with two episodes uploaded every Friday. Ex-Aid is definitely the break from the amount of tension I feel for the Kamen Rider shows I have watched so far.
It was quite goofy, and we do have interesting characters as the doctors of the show. So far, I only like Kamen Rider Ex-Aid and Kamen Rider Laser. I don't like Brave and Snipe. That's all I have for today. Anyway, I hope you had a good day and I will see you next time. Henshin.
Kind Regards,
ZERO (or Archer)
